Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

This is my favorite recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookies…

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 oz. bag chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In large bowl combine brown sugar, sugar, butter, and shortening; beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg; blend well.

2. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Add chocolate chips and walnuts; mix well.

3. Bake at 375 degrees for about 9 minutes or until golden brown, then let cool on the baking sheet for a minute or two before removing and setting on wax paper to cool completely.

Yield: About 2 1/2 dozen depending on how big you make your cookies.

You can replace the chocolate chips with peanut butter chips or pretty much any other baking chips…my favorite are ande’s mint chips c’est deliciouix!
