As long as they’re semisweet, it should be fine!

I followed the directions explicitly and the fudge never quite set up. Even after waiting 4 hours and then putting it in the frige overnight, it is still soft and gooey. Any suggestions on what went wrong and how to fix it next time? What I did make tastes very good, its just not set up.

Try doubling the chocolate next time (2 or 2 1/2 cups instead of one) and see if it works better. I’ve used the recipe and not had any problems - but it’s been awhile since I made this one. Taking a look at another similar recipe - like this Creamy Mocha Fudge Recipe - it’s very similar and uses three times the amount of chocolate. That one of course has semi-sweet chips and this one has 1 cup baking chocolate and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. That’s why I said to start with 2 cups. Let me know how that goes!
